SUBJECT OBJECT is an award-winning theatre company, based in the UK and Germany. 

We specialise in formally-bold new-writing with global ideas. We are led by award-winning writer Nathan Ellis, alongside Executive Producer Eve Allin. Our show work.txt (a play without actors) (★★★★★ Observer) and was Offie-Nominated in 2022. The show won the Best Interactive Theatre Award at the Adelaide Fringe. It was invited to the Caravan International Showcase 2022. work.txt is currently on an international tour and has so far been translated into seven languages and performed on six continents. 

We also run workshops for emerging writers and theatremakers across the world, as well as long-form Writing Groups.

The company are a Creative Associate of Nottingham Playhouse and are currently undertaking various projects in the Midlands, including their new show Instructions, a show about zombie-capitalism, and what are you looking for? a chorale about Grindr.
